Lightning Talk (Best Student Presentation Awards)

The Best Student Presentation Awards recognize outstanding research presentations by student participants at XMAS 2027.

Eligibility

• Applicants must be students whose abstracts have been accepted for either an oral or a poster presentation at XMAS 2027. Only these presenters are eligible to apply for the Best Student Presentation Awards.

Requirements

• Eligible applicants must prepare and deliver a 3-minute Lightning Talk in addition to their original oral or poster presentation.

• The Lightning Talk will be delivered orally, must not exceed 3 minutes, and will NOT include a Q&A session.

How to Apply

• Enrollment: Apply online during conference registration by selecting the Lightning Talk option.

• Selection: Participation is subject to capacity. If applications exceed the available slots, the Organizing Committee will select participants based on the submitted abstracts. Applicants will be notified by email before the conference. 

• Slide Submission: Selected participants must upload their presentation slides before the conference.

• Evaluation: Lightning Talks will be evaluated based on:

o Scientific quality and originality

o Clarity, organization, and delivery of the presentation

o Quality and effectiveness of visual materials

o Overall impact of the presentation

Prizes

Award recipients will receive cash prizes and certificates. Multiple prizes may be awarded in each category. Awards include:

• First Prize: CNY 3500

• Second Prize: CYN 2500

• Third Prize: CYN 1500

Winners will be announced during the Closing Ceremony of XMAS 2027.
